Saturday, 29 April 2023, at the Charleston County School District Stadium, we supported the Charleston Hawks Semi-Pro Football Hall of Famers Awards Ceremony. To honor the legacy of Clay Hampton Senior, who was a coach and advocate for youth football as a means to inspire children. Sports develops discipline and team building which are critical life skills. The following 9 of 10, honored us with their presence: Ray Robinson, Walter Mitchell, Bennie Snipe, Eric Summers, Harrison Holmes, Marcellus Washington, Freddie Goss, James Singleton, Terry Hutchinson and Jerome Washington. Tony Lewis, founder of Motivate to Educate, with multiple volunteers hosted a full day of family activities. The event opened with Jarrel King Sr, founder of the Overdrive Academy and over 60 young men and women who played a scrimmage football game on the field and tug of war competition. Overdrive Academy focuses on the evolution of lineman through athletic training and discipline. Community businesses and individual supporters were recognized through a certificate signed by Motivate to Educate. Generations for America Foundation, was recognized as a leader in the community who going beyond the call of duty in making a difference in people's lives. We are honored by this recognition and support.
