About the event
There are ten candidates who have filed to become the next Mayor of North Charleston. The mayor fulfills an executive role by seeing that the laws are enforced, and that the city officers and employees do their jobs properly. North Charleston is the third largest city in the state and has a budget of $147 million. Eight candidates have confirmed their attendance and we are very excited in hosting a professional and informative debate for the community. North Charleston area media outlets are invited to cover this event.
Debates are a forum to learn more about a candidate and for the community to ask the hard questions about the direction of the city. Ingrid Centurion LTC Army (R) and founder of Generations for America, will moderate the debate. “I have attended many candidate forums locally, but not debates. We are focused on civic education and engagement at Generations for America.” Doors open at 6:00 p.m.
